We have 11 people traveling to Jordan at the end of this month to provide medical assistance and treatment to the Syrian refugees. Our team includes doctors and surgeons, child education and disaster relief specialists. Several of our group have already visited the refugees and are returning to provide even more relief to them. Here some of the activities they will undertake while there:
- Develop a Childrens Learning Center to serve Syrian refugee children in Jordan through focused learning combined with psychosocial support and skill development. Depending on space, resources and trained personnel this project will serve children pre-school through age fifteen (15).
- Treat refugees who are suffering from pulmonary, cardiac, spinal injuries and ailments. Our doctors specialize in these areas and will also be performing surgeries while there. The doctors will also assist at a local hospital that has been overwhelmed by the influx of refugees to the area.
- Delivering more supplies including medicines, medical equipment, hygiene supplies, baby formula, etc.
- Document the conditions in the camp, talk to refugees living outside the camps, assess the situation to coordinate future missions and aid deliveries.
We will be posting photos and updates while the group is in Jordan, the last week of January. You can send your donation to help – cash will be taken and many supplies purchased there to avoid having to ship or carry them.
Thank you to everyone for helping the Syrian refugees.
